Quality Engineering Intern

Position Summary:

The Quality Engineering Intern assists with audits of the Quality Management System and production processes and procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with interpretation of GD&T requirements to aide with inspection of incoming material
• Program Optical Measurement System to complete mechanical inspections
• Use 3D printer to create fixtures to assist with inspection
• Assist with audits on Quality Management System, update processes and procedures
• Assist in other assigned duties and work on various other projects and processes as needed

Supervises: None

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Reader.
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Good verbal and communication skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Ability to work cohesively with peers and supervisors
• Must be able to work with ITAR data without a license.

Education, Experience and Training:

• A student pursuing a Bachelors or Advanced Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar.    

Physical Requirements & Working Environment:

• This role is performed on-site and primary an in-office role. 
• Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
