Position Summary:

As an ERP Business Functional Analyst, you will make an impact in our company by acting as a trusted subject matter expert (SME) in our Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O ERP system.  The position is accountable for maintaining master data integrity, troubleshooting system issues, developing process improvements, and supporting end users across the organization. The analyst plays a key role in managing BOM structures, routing updates, shop floor control, MRP execution, supply and demand planning, capacity planning, and inventory accuracy, ensuring that the ERP system reflects real‑time operational conditions. This role also supports enhancements, testing cycles, release management, and integration points with MES, quality systems, and other manufacturing technologies.

Success in this position requires a strong understanding of operations in a high technology component and solution design and manufacturing environment, excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, and hands‑on experience with Dynamics D365 Operations Management. The ERP D365 Functional Analyst helps the organization improve operational efficiency, reduce errors, strengthen traceability, improve real-time reporting and maintain the system foundation needed to support high‑mix, high‑precision RF component and solution production. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain, optimize and document Dynamics D365 F&O modules including procurement, inventory, BOM management, shop floor control, sales order management, production control, capacity planning, master planning, and warehouse management.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve stability, usability, data accuracy, and standard functionality vs customization.
  • Support release management activities including testing, validation, and deployment of updates or new features.
  • Implement updates after testing and trains SMEs on any functional changes and documents these changes.
  • Implements PowerBI dashboards for reporting needs outside of standard D365 reports.
  • Implements security procedures and permissions and tools to ensure security measures and segregations of duties are in place.
  • Coordinates with application vendors, managed support vendors, and business partners regarding upgrades, maintenance, monitoring, issues, and outages.
  • Provides oral and written status reports.
  • Report to and coordinate with the President and business process owners on tasks and projects.
  • Act as an in-house information systems expert and primary point-of-contact for the ERP system.
  • Participates in Cyber Security Risk Committee.
  • All other reasonable duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • At least 3-5 years of progressive D365 F&O experience and proficient in tasks such as, training on module use, analyzing log files, setting up system workflows and creating reports.
  • Be fluent in Microsoft D365 ERP, with intimate knowledge of Production, Procurement, MRP, and Capacity Planning modules
  • Candidates should have knowledge of how configurations impact subledger and general ledger transactions and how to configure to create the expected downstream impact.
  • Experience with managing D365 environments utilizing Lifecycle Services (LCS).
  • Experience with BI tools and analytics.
  • Experience designing integrations with 3rd party tools (PDM, CRM, etc.) desired.
  • AX2009 knowledge a plus.
  • Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Be accountable for quality, completeness, and on-time delivery of assigned projects.
  • Able to evaluate and determine information needs not currently met by existing software or systems for the end user.
  • Able to interpret business objectives and make suggestions of how to utilize existing software and standard functionality to accomplish.
  • Able to partner with business managers and users to identify business requirements, ensure compliance and effectiveness of current and future systems.
  • Able to develop strategies to improve timeliness of information delivery and overall efficiency.
  • Able to perform post-implementation review analysis.

Education, Experience and Training:

  • BS / BA preferred or equivalent number of years of experience.
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of D365 F&O experience
  • Experience with D365 Accounting modules a plus.
  • Able to work with ITAR information without a license

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

  • Minimal travel required (< 10%)
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Work in an office environment.
  • Minimal lifting requirements.
