Mtron Hosts and Sponsors the Orlando Science High School robotics team

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 24, 2026 – Mtron (NYSE American: MPTI), a leading provider of high-performance radio frequency (“RF”) components and solutions, was pleased to host and sponsor students from the Orlando Science High School robotics team as they prepare to enter the 2026 FIRST® Tech Challenge and the 2026 FIRST® Robotics Competition, the World’s Largest K-12 Robotics Event.

Founded in 1989 by inventor Dean Kamen, FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) prepares young people for the future through a suite of welcoming, team-based robotics programs for ages 5-18 (K-12).

Starting with a kit of parts, teams of high school students design, program, and build industrial-sized robots to play an action-packed game. They compete on a themed field as part of a three-team alliance in the spirit of Coopertition®.  Guided by adult mentors, each FIRST® Robotics Competition team creates a team identity, raises funds to meet its goals, and advances appreciation for STEM in its community.
