Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Mtron is a highly engineered custom frequency control product supplier which designs and fabricates microelectronics including quartz crystals, oscillators, and other RF devices. This includes soldered SMD microcircuits, microelectronics, and programmable microcircuits.

The manufacturing engineering technician performs tests and experiments on standard products as well as engineering samples and R&D items. Also works with production test and manufacturing equipment to help optimize throughput, yield and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Perform tests on production products and experiments for product development.
• Use of various test equipment: Multi-meters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, calipers, environmental test systems, etc.
• Perform tests, experiments, and repair on product to help optimize production test and manufacturing equipment.
• Tests procedures and documentation for validity and assists updating documentation when needed.
• Assists in tracking production down time and other issues involving production test equipment. Suggests methods for improvement including preventative maintenance schedules as well as other changes.
• Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
• Work in a team environment.
• All other assigned duties.

Supervises: None.

Desired Qualifications and skills:

• Associate’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering with more than 3 years of applicable experience.
• Knowledge about Oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and scientific method a plus.
• Familiarity with multiple software applications such as Microsoft Office is required.
• Good documentation skills and recording ability. Precise and ability to exactly follow instructions necessary.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized and reliable.
• Must be able to work on ITAR data without a license
