Inside Sales Intern

Our inside sales representatives sell electronic components to OEMs and CMs within a specific assigned territory. They contribute to the company’s annual sales growth by driving sales and service to our customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicates daily via telephone or email with clients to promote product offerings services and capabilities.
  • Responds to client requests (RFQ, RMA, Reschedules, Cancellations, Order Entry and Expedites).
  • Monitors and controls response to client requirements for initial contact to order fulfillment.
  • Maintains and expands sales with existing accounts through a high level of customer service making decisions for the best solution for the customer and MtronPTI.
  • Coordinates sales effort with field sales team.
  • Provides customers with up to date product information making price decisions through telephone negotiations evaluating problem accounts and interfacing with manufacturer’s representatives.
  • Coordinates existing customer requirements for inventories delivery lead time and standard catalogue part of unit prices.
  • Analyzes customer past sales.
  • Attains budgeted sales and profitability goals for each of their customers in their aggregated territory.

  • Background in electronic components and/or Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited university (preferred).

Manufacturing Engineer Intern

This position is for an engineering Intern Student majoring in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering major.   Position requires student to work closely with manufacturing engineers on a variety of tasks which will include 3-D Solid modeling (Solidworks), fixture / tool development among other tasks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using Solidworks, design tools, test fixtures and other Assembly aids
  • Assemble and qualify above devices and integrate into production
  • Draft and submit engineering change orders as needed
  • Document procedures and processes
  • Assist in other assigned duties
  • Work on various other projects and processes as needed

CNC Operator

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create, set-up or modify CNC programs with multiple axis and operate the mills (Haas)
  • Technical expertise of drafting software  and programming language such as Solidworks and Camworks G and M codes
  • Interpret DoD / Aerospace drawings for prototyping and fixtures
  • Utilize standards to make tooling and cutting choices applying appropriate tolerances
  • Some knowledge of Kaizen 5S to continue optimization of shop processes
  • Improve set up time and develop efficiencies on the shop floor
  • Works with internal drafting team to have drawings corrected and modified as necessary
  • First inspection pass to ensure dimensional and aesthetics quality processes are adhered prior to first article
  • Knowledge of machine equipment and measuring tools in order to complete Non-CNC processes
  • Maintains equipment as needed by completing regular preventative maintenance
  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner

Crystal Assembler 1

This position performs frequent rigorous tasks in a controlled clean room environment such as, mounting, cleaning, washing, and inspection of crystals resonators under a microscope. These processes require knowledge of use of various equipment such as bake ovens, ultrasonic cleaners, as well as various tools such as microscopes, hand brushes and hand tools.  The assembler will also load and operate various automated equipment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mount and cure crystal resonators
  • Performs inspections under a microscope to insure parts are meeting quality standards and FOD free particles
  • Run automated equipment as needed
  • Performs hand washing processes using ultrasonic cleaners
  • Coordinates with the line supervisor to transition finished product once completed
  • Periodically checks with other peers or line leads to support other functions as needed in the finish product line
  • Confers with the process engineers, supervisor, and other technical workers to assist with equipment installation, maintenance, and repair techniques when needed
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by adhering to 5S and GMPs policies

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Hand coordination and dexterity
  • Knowledge of crystals, specs, SOPs, and testing processes
  • Ability to work cohesively with peers, engineers and supervisors
  • Be able to use a microscope for long periods of time
  • Accountable for addressing any issues in their cell areas to the supervisor
  • Understanding of basic tools or testing equipment
